Make A Difference Day - October 28, 2017

As a member of our Volunteer Center family, we already know you want to - and do - make a difference in the community. That’s why we want to celebrate HOW or WHY you make a difference in honor of Make A Difference Day!

Join us in celebrating Make A Difference Day at any time leading up to October 28!

  • Download/print one of these signs:

  • Add HOW or WHY you make a difference

  • Take a selfie with the sign

  • Share the selfie on social media using the hashtags #AtTheHeartOfHelping and #MMDAY

HOW I make a difference WHY I make a difference
We may also share your photos to spotlight our volunteers and the volunteer service you are doing in the community.

One of the largest national days of service, Make A Difference Day has been celebrated annually on the fourth Saturday in October since 1992. It is made possible by TEGNA, with support from Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service.

According to Points of Light’s CEO Tracy Hoover, it has become an enduring tradition that brings people together to help solve community problems. And it’s the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate service, since the values, mission and even the heart in the logo is on par with that of the Volunteer Center!
